Rebecca Cook Hall, 55, of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday July 22, 2013 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Robert Hall Jr of Marshalltown; sisters: Bonney Weber of Marshalltown, Jackie (Greg) Mellerup of Des Moines, Barbara (Rodney Gall) Cook of Clemons, Michelle (Patrick) Petrell of PA, Diane (Billy) McKinney of Arkansas; brothers: William (Julie) Cook of Marshalltown, Christopher Cook of Marshalltown, Dennis (Barbara) Cook of Des Moines, Randal (Julie) Cook of Des Moines, Ronald (Peggy) Cook of West Des Moines; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

In death Becky joins her husband Robert, parents and brother in law Joe Weber.

Rebecca Cook Hall, 55, of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14th, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 22, 2013 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Rebecca Diane Cook Hall was born in Des Moines, Iowa on August 28, 1957 at Methodist Hospital. She was the daughter of William J Cook and Beverlee J Bonney Trost. Becky graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines in 1976. Becky was united in marriage to Robert L Hall in Iowa City in 1998. They lived in Iowa City where Becky worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a house keeper until moving to Marshalltown three years ago so Becky could take care of her family. Becky was a very creative person. She was very artistic and was an excellent drawer. Her artwork was beautiful. She also enjoyed etching wood and glass and could make very complex things. She was a very good cook and even loved to repair small motors. Becky was a very family oriented person. She was very loyal and had a huge heart. She would help anyone that needed it and would move heaven and earth to see that she could do it. Above all else she deeply loved her son Robert and her family. She will be deeply missed.
