A memorial service for Sally Kay Weitzell, 68, of Fort Collins, Colorado will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Real Life Pentecostal Church in Woodlawn, Texas with Pastor Ronnie Rouse officiating. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date in Fort Collins, Colorado. Arrangements are under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Mrs. Weitzell passed away in Longview, Texas Saturday, February 27, 2010. She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on August 24, 1941. She was a member of the United Church of Christ of Green Mountain, Iowa. She was a Navy wife for 20 years, and she worked as a Federal employee for 33 years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motor home across the country. Her parents, Kenneth Oscar Lane and Pansy Maxine Miller lane preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Weitzell of Fort Collins, Colorado; daughter, Shawnette Kay Rouse and husband, Ronnie, of Jefferson, Texas; son, Scott Dwayne Weitzell and wife, Heather, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana; sister, Diane Lane of Fort Collins, Colorado; brothers, Richard Lane of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Thomas Lane of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren Joshua, Melissa, Benjamin, Renee, Lacy and Sierra; and by ten great grandchildren.
