Alvie J. Pinneo, 95 of Springdale, AR passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Fayetteville. He was born October 12, 1917 in Marshalltown, IA to Ralph Elmer Pinneo and Bessie Caroline (White) Pinneo. Mr. Pinneo was a graduate of the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa where he studied accounting. He retired as an accountant with Lennox Industries after over thirty years. He enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, painting and reading. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran having served in England, North Africa, and Saipan during World War II. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Springdale, AR and was a very active member at First Assembly of God Church in Marshalltown, Iowa while living there. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his wife of 67 years Marie Pinneo. He is survived by one son; Paul Pinneo and wife Linda of Fayetteville, AR, two grandchildren; Todd Pinneo and wife Melissa of Bentonville, AR, Lissa Welch and husband Casey of Clarksville, TN, and three great grandchildren; Ellie Welch, Simon Welch, and Brody Pinneo. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 27th at the First Assembly of God Church in Springdale, 1605 West Robinson Avenue with Reverend Don Nye and Reverend Bob Fant officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
