MRS. HALL, 72, DIES AT MERCY HOSPITAL FRIDAY

Mrs. Emma Hall, 72, 404 W. Madison st., died at 5 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas Mercy hospital. Mrs. Hall was taken to the hospital Sunday evening following a stroke. She was born Dec. 13, 1878 on a farm near Vining, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Hrabak. While young she moved to Chelsea where she lived for several years. SHE WAS MARRIED to Reed Case June 18, 1900. Two children who were born of this marriage survive Mrs. Hall. They are Mrs. Lyle Duffy, Marshalltown, and Paul Case, Choctaw, Ark. She was married to Ed Hall Oct. 16, 1911. The couple lived on a farm near Toledo before moving to Marshalltown in 1922. A daughter, Lorraine, born to them preceded Mrs. Hall in death. Mr. Hall, who was employed by a railroad, died following an accident in the rail yards Nov. 25, 1941. Mrs. Hall was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister. SURVIVORS BESIDES her two children are seven grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Anna Dolak, Belle Plaine, Mrs. Mary Yiesley, Victor, Mrs. Joseph Benesh, Chelsea, and Mrs. Homer Gardner, Cedar Rapids, three brothers, Joseph and Charles, Chelsea, and Fred W., Ottumwa. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Chelsea with burial in the Rector cemetery. The body is at Hrabaks in Chelsea.
