FUNERAL OF MRS. MOORE IS HELD FRIDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. James D. Moore, who died last Sunday in Los Angeles, Calif., was held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Pursel funeral home in charge of Rev. B. J. Trickey. Burial was in Riverside. Mrs. Moore was visiting here a month ago and seemed in her usual health, but became ill on her arrival home. She was in the hospital for the last week. Death was due to pneumonia. Mrs. Moore was born Bertha Raber, daughter of John and Jennie Raber, Feb. 28, 1885, at Newburg. When she was 8 years old the family moved to this city and she lived here or near here until her marriage on July 15, 1910, to J. D. Moore. They operated a restaurant in Belle Plaine and lived there until going to California in 1938. She is survived by her widower, one brother and four sisters, G. F. Raber, Mrs. J. C. Robb and Mrs. Ralph Way of this city, Mrs. E. L. Bremmer of Hampton and Mrs. Verlie Wells of Los Angeles. She is also survived by two nieces and a nephew, Maxine and Lois Jean Robb, and Jess Robb, all of this city. She was a member of the Congregational church, Pythian Sisters, Royal Neighbors and Rebekahs, all of Belle Plaine.
