MRS. SAMUEL BENTLEY, ALBION, DIES FRIDAY

Mrs. Samuel E. Bentley, a resident of Albion for many years, died at the Perry-Hatcher home, where she was visiting, 2 miles south and west of Marshalltown at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Death was caused by age debility. Mrs. Bentley was born in Poweshiek county Sept. 28, 1862. When a small child she moved with her parents to Albion. She was married to Samuel E. Bentley in Marshalltown June 19, 1887, and after their marriage they returned to Albion which had been their home continuously. There were four children born to Mr. and Mrs Bentley. Two boys, Eugene and Leonard, died in infancy. Besides her widower, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lelah Thorn of Gifford and Mrs. B. J. Vantreese of Marshalltown. There are also two brothers and one sister, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren surviving. Mrs. Bentley was a life long member of the Albion Methodist church where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Albion cemetery. The body will remain at the Pursel funeral home until the time of the services.
