JOSEPH W. HARN DIES AT HOSPITAL

Joseph William (Joe) Harn, 1004 S. Center st., died at 5 p.m. Sunday at the county hospital where he had been a patient for two years. Mr. Harn had been an invalid for 20 years and death was of apoplexy. He was born Feb. 12, 1883 in Brown county, Ohio, the son of Franklin and Nancy Harn. The family lived in Kentucky and Illinois for several years and he came to Marshalltown in 1910 where he was married July 10, 1915 to Minnie E. Preissinger. The widow and four children survive. They are Max J. Harn of Richmond, Calif.; Mrs. Forrest Heuer, Marshalltown; Mrs. Wilmer Wilkens, Rock Valley, and Mrs. Jack Heggie, Des Moines. Also surviving are seven granddaughters, a half brother, Ernest Harn, and a half sister, Mrs. Florence Newman, both of Peoria, Ill. Mr. Harn was a foreman at the Marshall Canning company until he retired because of ill health in 1933. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Services are being arranged at Pursel's.
