ARTHUR MAULSBY DIES SATURDAY; BURIAL WEDNESDAY IN PRAIRIEVILLE

Arthur Maulsby, 71, 542 N. 2nd St., died at the Evangelical Hospital Saturday afternoon where he had been a patient for the last nine weeks. He had been in failing health since December. He was born Feb. 8, 1884, at Conrad, son of Erastus and Anna Fogg Maulsby. The family moved to Prairieville in Marshall County in 1886, living there until his marriage to Elizabeth Ramsey in Marshalltown, Nov. 26, 1917. Mr. and Mrs. Maulsby lived in Marshalltown all their married life. MR. MAULSBY farmed south of Marshalltown for eight years and for the last sixteen years had worked for the Marshall County road department. He was preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters and a brother. Surviving are his widow, four sons and three daughters, Donald and Orval Maulsby, Marshalltown; Robert Maulsby, Ft. Worth, Texas; Gene Maulsby, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Va.; Mrs. T. A. MacLafferty, New Britain, Conn.; Mrs. Wilbur Larmer, Middleton, Calif., and Mrs. Lewis Moore, Clinton. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. W. E. Brown, Lodi, Calif. HE WAS A member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and of the First Friends Church of Marshalltown. Services will be held from the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. DeWitt Foster, pastor of the Friends Church. Burial will be in Prairieville Cemetery.
