DAVID TUCKER, CLEMONS, DIES AT INDEPENDENCE

David Tucker, Sr., died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at the state hospital at Independence where he had been a patient for the past 12 years. The cause of death was advanced age and complications. Mr. Tucker was born Feb. 27, 1860 in Illinois. At the age of 7 years, he came with his parents to Iowa settling near Clemons. When a young man he moved to Plymouth county where he married Emma Gannon, Feb. 11, 1885, at LeMars. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Tucker continued to live in Plymouth county until 1901 when they returned to Marshall county to a farm near Minerva. Since that time the family home had been in and near Clemons. Surviving are one son and three daughters, David Tucker, Jr., of New Providence, Mrs. G. R. Cory of Rhodes, Mrs. Glen Jay of Clemons and Mrs. R. S. Middleton of Tulare, Calif.; one brother, Mahlon Tucker, of Panora, two sisters, Mrs. George Nichols of Minerva and Mrs. Roe Hiatt of Clemons, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Tucker died Aug. 16, 1926. Three sisters also preceded him in death. The body will remain at the Estel funeral home where services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. A. O. Bishop. Burial will be in the Marietta cemetery.
