ONE OF FIRST BORN IN COUNTY SUMMONED

Mrs. Sarah J. Beeson, one of the first-born in Marshall county, passed away Thursday night at Independence, according to word received here today, death due to complications coming after a long illness. Mrs. Beeson's condition had been serious for weeks and death was not unexpected. Sarah J. Hauser was born at the Bethel Grove neighborhood Aug. 1, 1855, a daughter of John and Mary Hauser, pioneer settlers of the county, who came to Iowa in 1849. She lived at the place of her birth until her marriage to the late L. J. Beeson of Liscomb. Mr. Beeson died several years ago. Mrs. Beeson is survived by four children, J. C. Beeson living in the state of Washington and E. G. Beeson, Mrs. Dora York and Miss Nella Beeson, all of Peoria, Ill. Two brothers, George and L. W. Hauser, of the Bethel Grove neighborhood, and three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Whitacre, city, Mrs. Dora Robilliard, Faribault, Minn., and Mrs. Corena Brown of West Liberty, also survive. The body will be brought to Bethel Grove for burial Sunday afternoon with services at the cemetery.
