Mrs. Mary E. Herron, 75, 312 N. 1st St., died at Evangelical Hospital Friday evening. She had been hospitalized since July 1. Her condition following surgery seemed much improved and her death was quite unexpected. Born Mary E. Stull, daughter of Jacob and Rebecca Stull, March 8, 1879 in Grundy County, she received her education in the schools there. ON DEC. 6, 1899 she was married to Fred V. Herron and for 45 years they made their home on a farm 1 1/2 miles northeast of Green Mountain. Since the death of Mr. Herron in 1946 she had made her home in Marshalltown. Mrs. Herron was a member of the Marshalltown Congregational Church and the September Circle. SURVIVING ARE two sons and a daughter, Leonard S. Herron, Sioux Falls, S.D., Edward J.Herron, Madison, Wis., and Mrs. Lawrence Moller, Route 5. Also surviving are four grandchildren and two brothers, Wendell Stull of Libby, Mont., and Clarence Stull, Grundy Center. Services will be at Estel-Perrin Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Monday in charge of the Rev. F. C. Snyder of Green Mountain. Burial will be in Beaman Cemetery.
