FRANCIS BIRKS SERVICES FRIDAY

Services for Francis M. Birks, 52, 404 W. Linn St., who died Tuesday noon at Mercy Hospital, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverside. Mr. Birks had been a salesman for the Letts-Fletcher Company for 14 years. Death was of a heart condition. HE WAS born in Marshalltown Feb. 27, 1904, the son of Henry and Caroline Minnehan Birks. March 2, 1935 he was married to Clara Zdrazil, who, with two children, Lyle and Dolores, survives. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. A. H. Bradshaw of El Monte, Calif., and a brother, Maurice of Marshalltown. MR. BIRKS was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary's Church. The body is at Avey Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday.
