STATE CENTER ---(Special)---Claude E. Anderson, 75, State Center businessman, died of a heart attack at his home Monday. He had been in failing health several months. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. MR. ANDERSON was born in Sumner County, Tennessee, Sept. 30, 1880, a son of John Wesley and Miranda Hinton Anderson. He married Laura Lee at Gallatin, Tenn., Jan. 14, 1904, and they had lived in State Center ever since. He operated an ice, coal, grain and feed business and since 1946 has had as a partner Harlan Hopper. He was a former city councilman, a member of the Presbyterian Church, Lions and Community Clubs and the Modern Woodmen of America. SURVIVING ARE the widow and three daughters, Mrs. C. W. Wade and Mrs. Raymond Wormley of El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. Charles Streeter, Fresno, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson reared from childhood a niece, Mrs. James Milburn, Powell, Wyo.; a nephew, Abram Lee, Dixon Springs, Tenn., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Joan McLaughlin, Pasadena, Calif. Also surviving are two other grandchildren and a great grandchild. Friends may call at the Wensell Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Thursday.
