Liscomb---(Special)---Charles Elliott, 67, widely known resident of the Liscomb community died of a heart attack shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday at his home two miles southwest of Liscomb. Elliott had been in his usual health and was first stricken about 1:30 a.m. He was the son of the late Simeon and Belle Elliott, was born at Liscomb Feb. 26, 1882, and attended the Liscomb schools. He was married in 1906 to Clara Mae Dunham of Prairieville and they lived on farms in the country and later moved to Marshalltown where Elliott was employed for 25 years at the Marshalltown Trowel company. He retired two years ago and moved to his farm near Liscomb. While living in Marshalltown he was an active worker in the Seventh Street United Brethren church. Surviving are the widow and five children, Mrs. Merle Leise, Carl Elliott and Mrs. Lewis Roads of near Liscomb; Mrs. William Mellows and Mrs. Frank Breef of Marshalltown. There are 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Also surviving are three brothers, Fred, Burt and Mell Elliott of Liscomb. Services will be held at the Estel funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday in charge of Rev. George Biersborn and Dr. H. V. Riggs. Burial will be in the Liscomb cemetery.
