LISCOMB---(Special)---Mrs. Rose Jackson, 75, life long Marshall County resident, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at Evangelical Hospital, where she had been since March 23 following a stroke. She had been in failing health for a year. Mrs. Jackson was born March 13, 1879, on a farm east of Liscomb, the daughter of John and Hannah (Eilers) Carey. She had lived in Liscomb 64 years. Mrs. Jackson was one of 12 girls in the first graduating class at Liscomb High School in 1896. She was married Sept. 4, 1900, to William L. Jackson. He died Dec. 31, 1924. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Liscomb Evangelical and Reformed Church. She had spent the winter months with her daughter, Mrs. Howard Glass, Gladbrook. Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. LaVerne Koehler, Omaha; a son, John L. Jackson, Omaha, and five grandchildren. The only other near relatives surviving are the Biersborn families at Union. The body is at Biersborn Funeral Home, Union, where it will remain until services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Reformed Church. Burial will be in Liscomb Cemetery.
