Mrs. Lura Davis of Albion, 66, died Wednesday at St. Thomas Mercy hospital where she had been taken Monday afternoon. She had been in failing health the last two years. Mrs. Davis was born Lura Ward May 9, 1886, in Albion, where she spent her entire life with the exception of three years in Tama county. SHE WAS MARRIED Aug. 24, 1905 to Emmet Davis. Her husband died March 23, 1943. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Albion Presbyterian church. SURVIVING ARE three children, Mrs. Lester Keopple, Mrs. Ann Dougherty and Alvin Davis, and two sisters, Mrs. Ora Vickery of Clinton, Ark., and Mrs. Roy McIntire, of Salem, Mo. Her parents, two sisters and a brother, besides her husband, preceded her in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Albion Presbyterian church with the Rev. Edith Wilcoxon in charge. Burial will be in the Marietta cemetery. The body will be at Avey's until 9 a.m. Saturday.
