Glen Ervin Elsberry, age 92, died January 14, 2005 at the Beehive Homes Assisted Living in Riverton, Utah.

Glen was born on February 2, 1912, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of John F. and Leona E. Bellus Elsberry. He was educated in Amber, Wisconsin. Glen married Etha G. Parker on February 26, 1935, in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He farmed with his father and worked for the logging industry in Wisconsin. Glen moved with his family back to Marshalltown, Iowa in 1940 and worked for the next 16 years at Lennox Furnace Company. Glen and Etha were divorced in1952 while living in Melbourne, Iowa. Glen moved to Idaho Falls in 1959. He met and married Ethel M. Davenport in February 20, 1960 and they made their residence in Idaho Falls, were he became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Glen was employed at the Dodge/Chrysler dealership in Idaho Falls as a parts man until his retirement. Ethel preceded him in death. Glen married Bernice Larson on July 2, 1988. She preceded him in death. Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing, had a passion for music, the accordion, guitar, harmonica, piano and organ, and was an avid cross country skier on his home made skis. Glen is survived by two sons Glen Ervin Elsberry Jr. of Mesa, Arizona Edward A. Elsberry of Salt Lake City, Utah and one daughter Carma Meissinger of Rigby, three brothers Harold Elsberry of Marshalltown, Iowa, Lynn “L.J.” Elsberry of Marshalltown, Iowa, Larry (Ellen) Elsberry of Mission Viejo, California, and one sister, Ellen (Walter) Morgan of Fort Dodge, Iowa. 26 grandchildren 43 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren

Memorial services were held at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, Thursday January 20, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. Graveside services were held on Friday January 21, 2005, at the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
