May 26, 1963 - November 19, 2013

NAUGHTON, Mark Alan, 50, passed away on November 19, 2013 at James A Hanley's VA Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born on May 26, 1963 in Denver, Colorado and adopted by Richard Naughton and Mary Louise Maneman [Naughton]. Mark grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1981. After high school he:
- went to college but later decided to join the United States Navy
- joined the Navy in 1984 and served for 3 years as a Medical Field Service Tech, He served his duty assignment in the USS Spruance and was discharged in 1988, achieving the rank of HM3. He continued in the Naval Reserve and lived in Cuba during that period of time.
- worked for different companies including the Orlando Airport, The Flyer (pressman), Nordstrom, as well as owning a business in lawn care and his latest business "Con Gusto Treats", a Florida cottage business where he was a star at baked goods.

Mark had 3 previous marriages and recently married Rosemarie Colon [Naughton] on March 24, 2013 in Tampa, Florida. They had dated for four years before marrying. Mark was a member of LifePoint Church in New Tampa. He enjoyed music, watching movies, traveling, trying new restaurants/foods, cooking, baking, photography, painting, biking, watching sunsets at the beach, and had great mechanical skills. Mark is survived by his spouse Rosemarie Naughton of Tampa, Florida; his parents Richard and Mary Louise Naughton of Marshalltown Iowa; his children Jason Faust, Seth A. Naughton, Sean A. Naughton, Rosaleigh F. Naughton, Margarita R. Naughton; his step-children Robert A. De Jesus, Ryan De Jesus, and Shawn De Jesus; his siblings Richard A. [Micki] Naughton, Lisa [Merle] Schoborg, Julie [Kurmit] Rockwell, and Amy Naughton; and nieces, nephews and other relatives who loved him dearly. Arrangements entrusted to Gonzalez Funeral Home (813) 931-1833. A memorial service will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Monday at 11:30 AM. Condolences and/or shared memories may be left on this website guestbook.
