George Beeman Passed Away After Long Illness

George Sherman Beeman, 77, resident of the Conrad community for 32 years, died at the Deaconess hospital Monday at 7:30 p.m. after being hospitalized Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Beeman had been in ill health for some time. He was the son of William L. and Elizabeth Beeman. He lived on a farm until he retired. Mr. Beeman never married. He spent the latter part of his life with his sister Mrs. Phoebe Jones.

He is survived by his sister Mrs. Phoebe Jones. His parents, one sister Mrs. Elmer Jones, two brothers Ira and Wesley preceded him in death.

The body was taken to the Johnston funeral home.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. at the Johnston funeral home in charge of Rev. W. G. Warren. Burial will be in the Liscomb cemetery.

Music will be furnished by Russell Kruse and Ted Carnes: “The Old Rugged Cross, “ “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross,” accompanied by Mrs. Vane Graham, pianist.

Pallbearers will be Charles Stubbs, D. C. Bristley, George Rose, Mark Ralston, Guy Coulter and Bruce Steelsmith. Flower bearers: Mrs. Roland Coulter, Mrs. Earl Shepard.
