Mrs. Nora Mae Beeman, 63, was born at Gilman July 19, 1883, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jones. On Sept. 10, 1902 she married Ira Beeman at Zearing. To this union were born three children, all of whom survive: William D. of Dike; Mrs. M. E. Long of Washington, Ill., and Mrs. Russell Amundson of Clarkdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. John Dodd and Mrs. Bess Carnes of Conrad; two brothers Elmer Jones of Conrad, and Arthur L. Jones of Waterloo; and 10 grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1940.

The first year of her married life was spent on a farm near Tracy, Minn. In the fall of 1903, the following year, she and her husband returned to Conrad and spent the next 38 years on farms near here. After the death of her husband in 1940, Mrs. Beeman moved to her home in Conrad where she resided until her death.

Mrs. Beeman was a devoted mother, and a kind neighbor to all whom she met. She leaves a large circle of acquaintances who mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in charge of Rev. E. C. Allen and the Avey Funeral Home. Burial was at the Liscomb cemetery.

Music was furnished by Russell St. Clair and Mrs. Clyde Newton, who sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” and “Sunrise” accompanied by Mrs. Ben Frederick.

Pallbearers were Harvey Strickler, Chas. Stubbs, Ray Gravenstein, Chas. Clark, W. S. Crouse and Garfield Simmons.

Flower bearers were Mrs. Leslie Kline, Mrs. Harvey Strickler, Mrs. Guy Coulter, Mrs. Chas. Stubbs and Mrs. Roland Coulter.
