Edna Ericson, 75

Edna M. Ericson, 75, of 2705 150th St., Marshalltown, died Thursday, Aug. 29, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Gregory Ellcey of the First Congregational Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown.

Friends may call for visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Edna was born July 24, 1927, in Grinnell, the daughter of Ralph and Vida (Vaughn) Foster. Raised and educated in the Grinnell-Newburg area, she graduated from Newburg High School. On Feb. 14, 1951, she married Henry Edward Ericson in Grinnell. She worked at Tinness Lumber in Newburg, Ottilie Seed Farms for over 20 years, the Marshalltown School System, and Villa del Sol prior to her retirement. She was a member of the first Congregational Church, Prairieville Club, V.F. W. and American legion Auxiliaries, and La Femmes of 40 and 8.

Survivors include her husband Ed, sons: Ray (Becky) Ericson, Grand Island, Neb., and Charles (Tanya) Ericson, Alleman; sister grandchildren Melissa Pembo, Amy Short, Travis Ericson, Dave Ericson, Mary Beck and Jennifer Beck; and three great-grandchildren Korbin, Tyler and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stillborn son Alan, sister Doris Binegar and brothers Wilbur, Orville, and Benny Foster.
