Kenneth Hugh Hudspeth, 75, of Waterloo, was born on August 7, 1936 in Iowa City. He was the son of Paul and Marguerite Smith Hudspeth. Kenny graduated from Marshalltown St. Mary's High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1957. Kenny worked for Smitty's Bakery in Waterloo and Iowa City until he began his career in 1960 with John Deere where he retired as a supervisor for Engine Works Assembly Division in May 1986. He married Margaret Lewinski in Boston on November 16, 1957 and they later divorced. Kenny married Joyce Mahoney on December 29, 1980 in Waterloo. Kenny loved his friends and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, baking cookies and gardening. Kenny was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He is remembered as being a generous person. Kenny was a member of AMVETS Post 19 in Waterloo, the Supervisors Club and attended Hammond Avenue Brethren Church in Waterloo. Kenny died on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Two Rivers, WI while visiting long time fishing friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Kenneth Hudspeth. Kenny is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Waterloo; sons Jeffrey (Debra) Hudspeth of Cedar Falls, Joseph (Dena) Hudspeth of Apopka, FL and Daren Mahoney of Minneapolis; daughters Kathryn (Chris) Spaulding of Sebring, FL and Jennifer (Drew) Byrnes of Waterloo; grandchildren Jonathan and Nicole Hudspeth of Cedar Falls, Emily Byrnes of Waterloo, Sara Spaulding, April Spaulding and Melissa (John) Tanner and their children Morgan and Luke of Sebring, FL and Jack Mahoney Kosidowski of Minneapolis; a brother, Jerry (Mary) Hudspeth of Billings, MT; sisters Paula McNew of Marshalltown, Dolores (Gerry) Barker of Overgaard, AZ and Kay Winn of Clarkdale, AZ; a sister-in-law Jeannine (Bob) Avery of Waterloo and many nieces and nephews.
