MRS. HART DEAD AT 88

Mrs. Lona Hart, 88, of Liscomb, died at the Kuper Nursing home Wednesday morning where she had been a patient since March 1. She had been in failing health for the last three years. Born Lona Miller Jan. 26, 1870, in Albion, she was the daughter of early pioneers of this county, Charles and Lydia Miller. She attended the rural schools of the Albion community and grew to womanhood there. SHE WAS married to William Hart Nov. 26, 1888, and during the early part of their marriage they lived in various parts of Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma, until moving to the Liscomb area where she and her son had resided for the last 30 years. Mrs. Hart was a member of the Bethel Church, was active in the Church Guild of the Liscomb Grace Reformed Church while living in Liscomb. PRECEDING her in death were two sons and a daughter. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a son and a daughter, Howard Hart of 212 N. 8th Ave., and Mrs. Claude Everist, 305 E. Linn St. Also surviving are three grandchildren, three step grandchildren nine great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Miller of Liscomb and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be from Estel-Perrin Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in charge of the Rev. Bill Hill, pastor of the Bethel Grove Church. Burial will be in the Bethel Grove Cemetery.
