MRS. FISCUS DIES SUNDAY AT AGE 82

Mrs. Herman (Pearl) Fiscus, 92, formerly of 207 W. Grant St., died Sunday at the Marshalltown Manor. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Grove Christian Church with burial to follow at the Bethel Grove Cemetery. Born March 25, 1882, at Liscomb, she was the daughter of William and Matilda Werner Edwards. She married Herman Fiscus, Dec. 31, 1902, at the Bethel Grove Church. He preceded her in death in 1934. She had lived on the same farm at Bethel Grove for 62 years before moving to Ames, then to Marshalltown in 1963. She is survived by one son, Clifton Fiscus, Liscomb; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Stackhouse, Route 1, and Mrs. Wayne (Lorene) Stewart, Liscomb; two brothers, Leonard Edwards, Neillsville, Wis., and John Edwards, Albion; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two sons, a sister and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Fiscus was a member of the Bethel Grove Christian Church. The body is at the Avey Funeral Home where friends may call.
