MARYELLA EDWARDS, 81

Maryella Edwards, 81, of 1432 Lafayette Ave., Albion, died Wednesday morning Oct. 1, at her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Center Street Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Grove Cemetery near Albion. Friends may call at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. She was born Feb. 12, 1922 in Bryn Maur, Penn. the daughter of Jack C. and Eleanor F. Potter Lehman. On Jan 4. 1947 in Devon, Penn. she was united in marriage to Delos Edwards, he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1991. Survivors include five children Suzanne Leslie Brewster, Mrs. Myrl of Centennial, Colo.; Marsha Hope Perkins, Mrs. Ralph of Parker, Colo.; Denise Diane Perkins, Mrs. Roy of Las Vegas, Nev.; Wendie Jo Kadner, Mrs. Lester of Bellevue, and Phillip Edwards and his wife Pat of Nevada; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister Nancy O'Hanlon of Devon, Penn. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and one brother. Reared and educated in Devon, Penn. she graduated from high school there, and then she graduated from Nursing School in Philadelphia, Penn. After their marriage they moved to the Albion Area and she has made her home here since. After her children were in school she returned to nursing at Evangelical Hospital, specializing in Obstetrics. She worked until retirement in 1983. Her memberships include the Center Street Baptist Church and the "Chain Gang."
