MRS. EWALT, LISCOMB, DIES

Mrs. Mary Matilda Ewalt, 64, of Liscomb, died at the Mercy Hospital Wednesday afternoon, where she had been a patient for the last week. She had been in failing health for the last two years. Born Mary Matilda Gould, Aug. 14, 1893, in Liscomb, she was the daughter of William and Carrie Barber Gould. She received her education, grew to womanhood and had lived in the Liscomb Community most of her life. ON MAY 10, 1910, in Marshalltown, she was married to William H. Ewalt and the couple had lived in and near Liscomb since. Mrs. Ewalt was a member of the Liscomb Christian Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and a sister. SURVIVING are her husband, a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Lester Isgrig of Garwin, Ronald of Route 5 and Ralph of Route 4, also surviving are 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Delbert Gould of Marshalltown and Lemert Gould of Albion. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. C. Wayne Overholser, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Liscomb Cemetery.
