Mrs. Catherine Meyers, relict of Isaac Meyers, an old resident of Liscomb, died this morning at 7:00 o'clock of pneumonia, complicated with other ailments due to her advanced years. Mrs. Meyers was a native of Tennessee, and was 85 years of age. With her husband she came to Marshall County in 1849, and two years later moved to a farm north of where the town of Liscomb now stands, but before there was any settlement there. Sixteen years ago Mr. and Mrs. Meyers let the farm and moved into Liscomb, where Mr. Meyers died about six years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyers were the parents of eleven children, eight of whom survive the mother. They are J. C. Meyers, of Liscomb; J. B. Meyers, of Whitton; T. J. Myers and Mrs. Celeste Coyne, of Liscomb; F. C. Meyers, of Wyoming; Mrs. Rose Hauser, of Livingston, Montana; Mrs. Mary Anderson, of Oregon; and L. N. B. Meyers, supposed to be living in Alaska.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock from the Christian Church, Rev. George Biersborn officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
