Hilsabeck

Mrs. Saluda Hilsabeck, aged 87, widow of Elias Hilsabeck, died at her home one-half mile south of Ferguson, at 6:00 o'clock Sunday evening, after an illness of a week of heart failure, induced by her advanced years. She had been in poor health for the past two years. Mrs. Hilsabeck was a native of Ohio, and came with her husband to Iowa in 1863. Mr. Hilsabeck died five years ago. The deceased is survived by four daughters and three sons - Mrs. Matilda Fortner, of Le Grand; Mrs. Susanna Finders, of Ferguson; Mrs. Isabel Manning, of Perry; Mrs. Lydia Hooven, of Chicago; Martin, David and John Hilsabeck, of Ferguson. Two sisters, Mrs. Parmelia Elliott, of Colfax, and Mrs. Amanda Woodmansee, of Knoxville, Illinois, also survived the deceased.
The funeral will be held from the Christian Church at Ferguson, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment following in the Ferguson cemetery.
