---Bethel Grove Resident Dies After Long Illness---

Mrs. J. J. Fiscus died Saturday evening at her home in Bethel Grove of complications and age debility, after an illness of five years. For the past three years she had been an invalid. Sarah J. Hubbell was born April 15, 1847, in Owen county, Indiana, and married J. J. Fiscus, Dec. 22, 1864, at Middleton, Ind. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Lewis and Emmett, both living in Shelby county, Iowa; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister at Estherville. She lived in Indiana until 1881 when she came to Shelby county with her husband. They moved to the Bethel Grove neighborhood in 1901 where they have resided since. She united with the Christian church at Dutch Bethel, Ind., at the age of 15. Funeral services will be held from the Bethel Grove church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery.
