MRS. MISHLER DEAD

Former Well-Known Albion Woman Dies Near Conrad of Cancer

Mrs. Lurana Mishler, aged 55, wife of Joseph Mishler, who in former years was a well-known woman of the Albion and Liscomb neighborhoods, died at her home, three and one-half miles west of Conrad, at 12:30 Sunday afternoon of cancer of the liver. Mrs. Mishler had been sick for more than a year. Mrs. Mishler was born and reared near Albion, where she was married and where she continued to live until seven years ago. Since that time the family has lived for a short time in Franklin county, later near Green Mountain, and still later on the farm where Mrs. Mishler died. Mrs. Mishler’s maiden name was Lurana Arney. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Arney, both of whom are now dead. Her birthday was May 11, 1854. She became the wife of Joseph Mishler on May 25, 1873, the wedding taking place near Albion. Mr. and Mrs. Mishler continued to live in the Albion neighborhood until they moved to Franklin county. Mrs. Mishler was a lifelong member of the old Bethel church, which she joined when she was 17. She was a respected and beloved woman. Mrs. Mishler is survived by the following children: Henry Mishler, of Coulee, Wash.; Wilson W. Mishler, of Grundy county; Francis, of near Liscomb; and Miss Minnie and Bernie E. who live at home. Mrs. Mishler also leaves six sisters and three brothers. They are Mrs. H. S. Sickman, Mrs. A. G. Kinsey, Mrs. F. M. Kinsey, Mrs. John Ulery and Mrs. H. P. Nyce, all of near Albion; Mrs. J. F. Miller, of near Liscomb; Jacob Arney, of this city; J. L. Arney, of near Albion; and E. M. Arney, of Clifton O. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Bethel Grove church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
