GEORGE NICKLE DEAD

Former Marshall County Man Dies In Afton Sunday

George S. Nickle, a former school teacher and farmer near Liscomb, died in Afton Sunday morning at 10 o’clock of diseases of the stomach and brain. The body accompanied by the wife, sons and daughter, reached the city this afternoon, and was taken to Liscomb, where the funeral will be held from the Bethel Grove church Tuesday morning at 10:30 o’clock, Rev. W. H. Scott officiating. Mr. Nickle formerly lived near Liscomb and when a young man he taught the rural schools of that neighborhood. With his family he moved away twenty-seven years ago, going to Carroll county. The family lived in Des Moines for a few years and then went to near Afton, where Mr. and Mrs. Nickle have since resided. Mr. Nickle is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter. The sons and daughter are Edwin of Carlisle, Miss Nora Nickle and Leslie Nickle of Afton, Ora of Sioux City and Clarence of Des Moines. Mrs. Nickle is a daughter of the late Jacob Hauser.
