MRS. GAUNT DEAD AT 93

Mrs. Calvin (Charlotte M.) GAUNT, 93, 202 N. 4th Ave., died at her home at 10:15 a.m. Friday.

Mrs. Gaunt was born Sept. 21, 1873, at Floris, in Davis County, the daughter of William and Sarah THOMPSON STRICKLAND. She moved as a child to the Gilman area and was graduated from Gilman High School in 1893. She taught school at Laurel and at LeGrand.

On April 3, 1894, she married Calvin R. GAUNT in Gilman. He preceded her in death in March, 1939.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grayce CRAFT of Marshalltown, a son, W. Earl GAUNT of Cedar Lake Highlands, Calif., one grand-child and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, three sisters and a brother.

Mrs. GAUNT was a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge No. 4, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a charter member of the local Carpenters Union Auxiliary.

Services are pending at Avey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Gilman.
