Mervin Doyle Beeson, 65, of Conrad, formerly of Bode, died Dec. 11, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. Per his wishes, he was cremated. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mervin's name at MidWestOne Bank, 120 W. Center St., Conrad, IA 50621. Survivors include his two daughters, Kelley (Jeff) Quinn of Conrad and Jenny Montgomery of Hannibal, Mo.; two sisters, Margaret and Sharon; five grandchildren: Daniel Heise, Chelsea Quinn, Corey Quinn, Colin Quinn and Jonathan Montgomery; and special friends, Jolene Johnson and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Milton "Bub" and James Beeson.
