Pamela Kay (Goecke) Schau on Tuesday; December 20, 1949, in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: Louis and Mary (Jay) Goecke. She graduated from West Marshall High School in 1968 and went on to college at Iowa State University, where she majored in Home Economics. On Saturday; March 4, 1972, she married Mike Schau at Sacred Heart Church in Saint Anthony; Marshall County, Iowa. To this union, two children were born- Amy and Tyler. The family resided in Pella; Marion County, Iowa. Farmington; Van Buren County, Iowa and then moved to Clemons; Marshall County, Iowa in 1986. Pam was the technology coordinator at West Marshall Schools for 14 years. Prior to that, she was a stay-at-home mom. Before raising her family, she had worked as a home economics teacher in the Harmony School District in Farmington. Pam was a member of Saint Joseph's Parish and was the secretary of Minerva Valley Telephone Company. Pam loved music and was the pianist and choir director at Sacred Heart Church in Saint Anthony for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, rodeos, and she cherished time with her family, especially playing with her grandchildren. Pam will be greatly missed. Pamela Kay (Goecke) Schau, age 58, passed away on Saturday; July 26, 2008. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband: Mike, of Clemons, Iowa. Her children: Amy (Troy) Price of Parkersburg; Butler County, Iowa and Tyler(Jackie) Schau of Almont; Morton County, North Dakota. Her grandchildren: Ellie Price and Sidney Schau. Her step-grandchildren: Kyle Price, Kate Price, and Klare Price. Her mother: Mary Goecke. Her sisters: Linda Baker (Fred Zeller) of State Center; Marshall County, Iowa and Mary Lou (Darc) Krehbiel of Wichita; Sedgwick County, Kansas. Her mother-in-law: Betty Lou Schau of Donnellson; Lee County, Iowa and her brother-in-law Roger (Sandy) Schau of Farmington, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father: Louis; her father-in-law: Lester Schau; her niece: Brandi Baker and her nephew: Jason Schau. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening; July 31, 2008 with a vigil service at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at: 10:30 a.m. on Friday; August 1, 2008 at the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in State Center, Iowa. Interment will be at the Saint Joseph's Cemetery in State Center, Iowa. Memorials in Pam's name may be directed to Special Olympics Iowa or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
