Donna Mae (Lubbert) Badger was born on Sunday; January 2, 1949 in Gladbrook; Tama County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: Earl and Loretta Lubbert. Donna graduated from the Gladbrook High School in 1967 and soon moved to Des Moines to work for Banker's Life. On Saturday; October 4, 1969, she was united in marriage to Bill Badger in Omaha; Douglas County, Nebraska. Mrs. Badger was employed at Kresge's and Marshalltown Manor in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa before starting work at the Iowa Soldier's Home in 1972. She worked there until health caused her retirement in 2002. The following year, Bill passed away. Donna was active in the children's ministry at New Hope teaching Sunday School and volunteered at Fisher Elementary. She enjoyed westerns and watching the Food Channel as she loved to cook. Donna Mae (Lubbert) Badger, age 59, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday; July 25, 2008 at her home while in the loving care of her family and the Iowa River Hospice. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her daughters: Stacey and Sara of Marshalltown, Iowa. Her twin brother: Donald (Nancy) Lubbert of Gladbrook, Iowa. Her sisters: Dorothy Blocker (Jim Memmer) of Marshalltown, Iowa. Sandy (Bill) Babinat of Clutier; Tama County, Iowa. Linda (Ed) Mills of Marshalltown, Iowa. Mary Millard of Gladbrook, Iowa. Diane Lubbert (Dean Lynch) of Dysart; Tama County, Iowa. Janice (Larry) Smith of Traer; Tama County, Iowa. Her brother: Larry (Val) Lubbert of Marshalltown, Iowa. her mother: Loretta Lubbert of Gladbrook, Iowa. Her nieces, nephews, special aunts: Betty Kollman of Phoenix; Maricopa County, Arizona and Margaret Lubbert of Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa and her dog: Chase. In death she has rejoined her beloved Bill who passed away in 2003, her father: Earl in 1976, special niece: Melissa Babinat in 2002 and brother-in-law: Rex Millard in 2006. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday; August 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at: 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday; July 29, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Perry of the New Hope Christian Church officiating. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa. For condolences, please visit the funeral home's website.
