Evelyn Petermeier, 79
Melbourne Services for Evelyn (Mrs. Raymond) Petermeier, 79, rural Melbourne, who died April 19, will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Pursel Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Gowdy officiating. Burial will follow at the Melbourne Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pursel Davis Funeral Home.
Born in Marshalltown Oct. 9, 1908, she was the daughter of John and Ann Olson Herbert. She was married to Raymond Petermeier in Melbourne and he survives. Also surviving are two brothers, Ralph Herbert of Fairfield, Calif., and Don Herbert of Green Valley, Ariz., as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and an infant sister.
Reared in Marshalltown, she graduated from Marshalltown High School. She later moved back to Marshalltown, where she was a legal secretary for the law firm of Cartwright and Druker.
Mrs. Petermeier was a former member of Business and Professional Women's Club in Marshalltown.
