Gladbrook Richard L. "Bud" McMahon, 69, of Gladbrook, died recently at his home (8 Sept. 2000). There will be no services at this time. Cremation rites have been held at the Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home and private interment rites will be at a later date.
He was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Laurel to Richard and Nellie (Wisgerof) McMahon. He received his education in the area of his birth, graduating from Marshalltown High School. After this time, he enlisted in the United States Navy.
He was employed for several years at Fisher Controls.
Survivors include a sister, Marian Wilkening of Marshalltown and a brother, Dean of Peoria, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Cecil.
