Harold Buschbom Dies Friday at 75; Services Monday

Harold Buschbom, 75, 506 W. Nevada St., died Friday morning at the Marshalltown County Hospital, where he had been a patient since January 1973.
Born Sept. 28, 1899, at State Center, he was the son of Robert and Rocellia Hartwig Buschbom. He received his education at St. John Lutheran Parochial School north of State Center.
On Aug. 8, 1948, he was married to Delores McMahon and they made their in State Center before moving to Marshalltwon in 1952. Mr. Buschbom was widely known for his breeding and raising of show horses and also operated a dairy production business.
Mr. Buschbom was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, was active in the Tallcorn Trialriders Saddle Club, the Iowa Stock Horse Association, the Midwest Appaloosa Association and the Iowa Quarterhorse Association.
Preceding him in death was his step mother.
Surviving are the widow and six children, Mrs. Lee(Evelyn) Minnich, Grundy Center; Mrs. E. T. (Ida Mae) Bradley, Pleasant Hill, Ohio; Mrs. Wayne (Margie) Riemenschneider, State Center; Debra, Robert and Linda Buschbom, all at home. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Herman (Dorothy) Heuser, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Services will be from the Chapel of the Estel Perrin Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Discher , pastor of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
