Pearl M. Wehrman, 84, of Grandview Heights Care Center, formerly of 207 N. 16th St. , died Friday, Aug 16, at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Pursel Davis Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Ellcey of First Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. at Pursel Davis. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
She was born Jan. 2, 1912, in Marshall County to Gustave and Lydia Pothast Wehrman. She was educated in the rural Van Cleve area and graduated from Van Cleve High School. she later graduated from the Central Iowa Business College in Marshalltown. She had worked the family farm and in the sales office of J. C. Penney Co. She worked for 21 years for Fisher Governor Co. She retired in 1972.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Women's Fellowship.
Survivors are a sister, Helen (Mrs. John) Trucano of San Francisco, Calif.; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
