There appear to be very few online records of this family in Marion County. I found this household in the 1850 Lake Prairie Township, Marion County census: Willem, 45, Margaretha Verhey?e, 48, Frans, 7, and Dirk Veen, 28. In the 1860 census, Willem van Asch, 55, seller of furniture, $4799 property/$500 personal value; Margaretha, 57, Frans, 16, cabinet maker, and Christena Dodyns, 14, are listed. But in 1870 the only van Asch listed in Pella (or Marion County) is Mosina van Asch, age 54, b. Wurttemburg, a widow.

I also found a cemetery record for Frank Van Asch, born 1841, died 20 April 1864, buried in Graceland Cemetery in Pella.
