Thanks. Yes, I have found out about her. I am mostly interested in her mother Mary Church Emsley, as I have two diaries written by her during the civil war. I have been able to find out a lot of information as she was one of the early Iowa feminist. She did supposedly tell her life story for a newspaper article in Mason City. This article was put in one of those specials put out by Newspapers. Anyway when they converted all of the papers to microfish, they didn't do the special. So it seems to be lost,..Thanks anyway for the info on her daughter. Anything else you have would be appreciated. I will be in Iowa in May, if I need to come and visit, please let me know.
