Nettie's father usually listed as Lewis Isaac Converse. Read more about the Nettie and Charles William Hughes in History of Adair County Missouri. Lewis Converse is listed as Lewis Convers in 1860 Clay Twp, Marion County, Iowa page 7.

Nettie Elizabeth Converse b. 1861 Sept 21 d. 1926 m. 1877 Oct 25 Clay TWP Marion Co Iowa to Charles W. Hughes (William Hughes) b. 1858 August 1 Sperry Schuyler Co, Mo d. 1923, son of James and Sarah Hughes who died when he was young. Moved in 1884 to Adair County, MO, near Clay. Both buried in same cemetery as her parents, Bellefountain, Mahaska Co., Iowa. Children:

Melvin b. 1878 Sept 14 Marion Co. Iowa

Homer b. 1880 Jan 25 Marion Co, Iowa

Edwin b. 1882 June 6 Marion Co, Iowa

Forest Herman b. 1887 May 19 Benton TWP Adair Co, MO

Alva Dale b. 1897 Apr 9 Kirksville, Adair Co, MO m Florence Eula Olmsted b 1885 May 6 Kirksville MO-d 1975 Mar. Children Ellen Elizebeth and Eula Alvalene Hughes.
