It looks like you didn't look far enough forward in the census records since she continued to live in Marion County for at least another nine years after Isaac died.

The 1925 Iowa state census for Clay Twp., Marion County, Iowa shows Martha E. Lash living there along with Clarence A. Lash, 17 and Carrie May Lash, 6, adopted son and daughter. It further shows that her father was Thomas W. Reeves and Nancy A. Spurgeon.

The 1930 Marion County, Iowa Census enumerates her in Clay Township as M. E. Lash and a granddaughter, Clarice M. Lash, age 11 living with her.

The 1930 census shows that she owned the property on which she was residing. A check of Marion County Probate records if she died will give you the date of death; If she sold the land, then Marion County land deed transactions will perhaps give further information as to where she went or a possible new name.

She is in the 1870 census with her parents in Scott Township, Mahaska County, Iowa.
