Stine family information

I have a United States General Land Office document dtd 10 Mar 1852, issued by the office in Iowa City, which shows that a 'Thomas Stine of Marion County, Iowa' completed the purchase of 40 acres in Jasper County. I am researching the Stine name related to folks in Jones/Jackson counties and can not get beyond 1846/1852 where my Stine connection goes to a brick wall. If I could find info on the above Thomas Stine family of Marion Co. I may be able to determine if a link exists to my line.
