[ work at the VA in Knoxville Ia., i am assinged a to mow the golf-course there which also contains a cemetery. I stopped to put a head stone back on its base and it read Elizabeth wife of John, died 1874 on the other side of John is another wife of John dont remember name right now but she died in 1870 age 27years. Also there is a Daily, son of John died 1861 age 17 years. I got home from work awhile ago and thought I would look up these names and ran across your message and I would be more than happy with any info I can give you. This is a very old and run-down cemetery, it saddens me to see it in such shape. The Knoxville VA is all but closed now, all patents have been transfered to Des Moines. It is a very beautiful old hospital, but but for some unknown reason its the only one in the US that had to close. I've worked here for almost 25 years and feel its the best in the country. You should take a trip here and see these graves for yourself. There are only a dozen or so graves, several are Schlotterbacks, There also was a Meril Schlotterback that was a Marion County deputy sherrif when i was in high school, I believe he is still alive.
