After your posting of the 1854 & 1856 Marion county census I discovered my GG grandfather James Wise was a land owner, which I never knew before. I then hired a researcher to look for probate records in the Knoxville court house and they found a large file of info. His land (80) acres was what is now the town of Harvey, Iowa. There was medical billing for the days before his death and he was taking quinine, used mostly for malaria? Also a listing of property sold after his death. He left a wife and 7 children. Thanks to Helen Severns of Knoxville for doing the research!
