The Marion County Genealogical Society published a book on cemeteries in the county and have posted on the web the Marion County cemetery information collected by the WPA. There's a link to the Society on the IAGenWeb home page. You'll also find a link there to volunteers who have offered to do lookups in the cemetery book.

In the 1860 Iowa census, the only Thomas Beasleys in Iowa were in Dubuque and Monroe Counties. Are you sure your Thomas died in Marion County?
