Mining accidents/deaths

I'm pretty sure this is a shot but any help would be appreciated. I am searching for verification of the death of Christopher Shaw. The only info I have is that he died in a mining accident in Flagler, Iowa in 1889. I have not been able to find any more info than this. At this point I'm wondering if there was even a mining accident there that year. I would really love to get a death cert. but if that is not possible any other information would be helpful to put my mind at ease. Thankyou to everyone in advance. Amanda
