Looking for relatives of Edward Romeo. Who died March 3, 1942 aboard the USS Asheville. His parents were Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Romeo of Melcher. There were six men from Iowa aboard this ship. My brother Joseph Coyne along with Edward and 160 others died that day. Only one survior and he was from Indiana who died in a prisoner of war camp. I have information that I would like to share with then. Edwards picture is on display at the Gold Star Museum at Camp Dodge in Des Moines. Trying to find pictures of the others to have diplayed there also.
