Looking for Grandfather Frank Wren

My grandfather Frank Thomas Wren was born in Knoxville, Iowa in 1890-91. I can find no other record of him anywhere. I know his mother was Mary Cotter Wren (B. 12-3-1860, Roscommon, Ireland)and his father was Michael(?) Wren. Mary moved to Knoxville in approx. 1872 from Baltimore, Md. Her sister was Kate Cotter Crawford, a long time resident of Knoxville whom I visited in the 1960's when she was in her 90's.

I am very interested in tracing the Wren/Cotter ancestry, but have had little luck finding any record of Frank. Any help will be appreciated.
